1984-1992 Noordzeevisserij. Gestopt vanwege weinig of geen perspectief (sterk dalende quota) en daarmee oplopende spanningen. Een groot deel van onze mooie vloot wordt weggesaneerd.
1992 Oprichting Wiltra Holland BV. Snelgroeiend transportbedrijf met de opzet van vaste lijndiensten en koel/vries groepage, o.a. van en naar Scandinavië.
2002 Wiltra Holland BV 'going concern' verkocht aan de familie Jansen (het huidige Jansen logistics). En aankoop GO-65 / UK-190 compleet visserijbedrijf met alle rechten (multipurpose kotter).
2005 Oprichting Vebatrans BV (van Veen & Bakker transport). Het eigenvervoer van Zeevisgroothandel Dayseaday BV wordt omgezet naar een zelfstandig transportbedrijf. Bestaande (handels)routes worden op die manier verdikt met behoud van service en specialisme.
2014 Besluit om Vebatrans verder zelfstandig neutraal en inmiddels met twee eigen zoons door te zetten (fam. Bakker). Met ontstaansgeschiedenis vanuit de visserij in 1992 heeft het bedrijf zich opnieuw snel maar uiterst stabiel gepositioneerd in het viscentrum van Europa. We richten ons nu meer en meer op de distributie en groepage van verse vis en het ontzorgen van de vissersvloot. We onderscheiden ons door uitermate flexibel in te spelen op andere methodes (dag)vangst en visgebieden. Met Kotra Logistics ontwikkelen we de van boord tot bord strategie. Een verankerde samenwerking in een logistiek netwerk waarbij we streven naar synergievoordeel en het benutten van elkaars (hub)capaciteit.
2015 Move en management buy-out gelijktijdig met overname en opsplitsing van Bonesca BV. Dayseaday neemt een controlerend belang in Bonesca en zet alleen de (vis)handelsactiviteiten door. Vebatrans neemt het vastgoed met alle in en externe transportmiddelen aan de Meer 10 over, en zet de logistiek en distributie door. We verhuizen naar de Meer 10, de uitkoop van Dayseaday (fam. van Veen) wordt dan ook meteen volledig afgerond.
2019 Oprichting Vebatrans Holding BV en opdracht tot ver/nieuwbouw en uitbreiding. We verkrijgen dan in totaal 2500m2 geconditioneerde op/overslag. We kunnen nu op 14 doks (her)groeperen met ruimte voor 500plts, 2 separate koelcellen voor nog eens ca 300plts vers, en een diepvriescel voor ca 400plts. Op de bovenverdieping naast nieuwe kantoren kantine en machinekamer 1150m2 voor droge opslag. De belendende kavels worden nu als parking ingericht.
2021 Overname (vis)transportactiviteiten van Duijn en Zn. gevestigd in IJmuiden met 5 extra eenheden. En overname M.J. van Oosterhout met specialisme transportservice voor de garnalenvloot (tussen visgebied en zeeflocatie). Daarmee ontstaat er langs de westkust van Frankrijk tot de kop van Denemarken één sterk en flexibel aanspreekpunt voor transport & logistiek en het aanlanden van (deel)vangsten van zowel garnalen als (dag)verse vis.
2022 Besluit tot ambitieuze vernieuwing en transitie van het hele wagenpark. Alle trekkende eenheden worden dit jaar met uitloop tot begin 2023 vernieuwd en vervangen door de nieuwe en aerodynamische next generation DAF XG480. We zetten in op 10% brandstofbesparing en verdere optimalisatie en verduurzaming door één merk en één (data gestuurde)connected dealer. Dit zal met het oog op verdere groei vanuit een nieuwe Vebatrans Materieel BV gaan plaatsvinden.
2023 Huidige structuur familiebedrijf; DGA D.Bakker Beheer BV, Vebatrans Holding BV (vastgoed), Vebatrans BV (transport en logistiek), en Vebatrans Materieel BV (wagenpark). We beschikken over 25 eenheden; 20 trekkende en 5 solovoertuigen, en hebben ca 40 trailers in gebruik. Wij zijn 24/6 inzetbaar, en op zondag principieel gesloten. Waar de mogelijkheid zich voordoet zoeken we samenwerking. Kernwaarden zijn gunning en vertrouwen, met oog voor maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen.

1992 Founding of Wiltra Holland BV, fast-growing transport company with fixed line services to and from Scandinavia.

2005 Founding of Vebatrans BV (van Veen & Bakker) The own transport of Zeevisgroothandel Dayseaday BV is converted into an independent transport company. As a result, the existing (trade) routes are thickened while maintaining service and specialism. Focus on frozen and especially fresh distribution Netherlands Belgium and the Ruhr area. And we group fresh fish to and from different auctions. For the other destinations we are looking for cooperation (the use of specialism).
2014 Decides to continue Vebatrans independently and neutrally, and now with its own sons (fam. Bakker). With its history from the fishing industry in 1992, the company has once again positioned itself quickly but extremely stable as a logistics service provider in the fishing centre of Europe. We mainly focus on distribution and groupage of fresh fish and unburdening the entire fishing fleet in the broadest sense of the word. Above all, it means being able to respond very flexibly to a rapidly changing playing field with other methods and fishing areas. With Kotra Logistics we develop the ship-to-board strategy. An anchored collaboration in a logistics network in which we strive for synergy benefits and the use of each other's (hub) capacity.
2015 Move and management buy-out simultaneously with acquisition and division of Bonesca BV. Dayseaday takes a controlling interest in Bonesca and only continues the (fish) trading activities. Vebatrans takes over the real estate with all internal and external means of transport on the Meer 10, and continues the logistics and distribution. We move to the Meer 10, the buy-out of Dayseaday (fam. van Veen) is therefore immediately fully completed.
2019 Establishment of Vebatrans Holding BV and assignment for renovation and expansion. We thus obtain a total of 2500m2 of conditioned storage / transhipment. We can then (re)group on 14 docks and have space for 500plts crossdock, 300plts storage fresh, and 400plts storage freezer. On the upper floor next to new offices, canteen and engine room another 1150m2 for dry storage. The adjacent lots that were purchased in 2015 are now being converted into parking lots.
2021 Acquisition of (fish) transport activities of Duijn and Zn. based in IJmuiden, with 5 additional units. And acquisition M.J. van Oosterhout with specialism transport service for the shrimp fleet (between fishing area and sieve location). This creates a strong and flexible point of contact along the west coast of France to the head of Denmark for transport & logistics and the landing of (partial) catches of both shrimp and (daily) fresh fish.
2022 Decision to make an ambitious renewal and transition of the entire fleet. All towing units will be renewed this year with a delay until the beginning of 2023 and replaced by the new and aerodynamic next generation DAF XG480. We are committed to 10% fuel savings and further optimization and sustainability by one brand and one (data-driven) connected dealer. This will take place with a view to further growth from a new Vebatrans Materieel BV.
2023 Current structure of the family business; DGA D.
